SMS messaging, including the ability to create Text-to-Join campaigns to drive email sign-ups, has been an integral part of the Bronto Marketing Platform for a while. Today, we’re announcing the availability of a new Text-to-Join feature in Bronto.

Here’s a brief summary of what’s new.

Text-to-Join for email sign-up is now available as part of the Bronto Marketing Platform at no additional cost. There is no application fee, no SMS message allocation fee, and the Workflow Automation module is no longer required to create Text-to-Join for email sign-up campaigns.

NOTE: You will need an SMS message allocation and the Workflow Automation module in order to send promotional outbound SMS messages – for example, time-sensitive offers, text-to-win contests, etc. Contact your Account Manager for details.

2. Simple

Creating a Text-to-Join campaign is now a simple, two-step process. Choose the keyword you’d like to use, and then add an automated response message that will be sent each time a contact texts in to the keyword without their email address.

3. Integrated

The new Text-to-Join feature is integrated with the other functions in the Bronto Marketing Platform. For example, you now have the option of adding the contacts who text in your keyword to a list or to multiple lists.

4. Transparent

And, we’ve added some activity reporting to help you monitor progress. This includes total texts, new contacts and a few other metrics.
