Email Insider Summit: Get Ready for Bronto

Next week (December 7-10), Bronto will be in Park City, Utah attending the Email Insider Summit (EIS). This semi-annual event, hosted by MediaPost, is - according to the site - “a totally unique event where the biggest brands and brightest minds caucus for three-days on state of email marketing.” From personal experience, I can tell you that this Summit is truly one of the best. This year, Brian Whalley (Bronto Client from OurStage and overall cool dude) will be on a panel discussing “Email as a Social Media Tool.”

Representatives from the Marriott, Target, General Mills, Expedia, MySpace, Overstock.com, and The New York Times (to name a few) will convene in Park City to share their experiences, spread their knowledge, and learn from others. Additionally, the Summit will be chocked full of email marketing experts from Email Service Providers (ESPs), deliverability companies, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and major agencies.

This Winter’s agenda is packed with great topics, including, but certainly not limited to:

  • Keynote: Email and Politics - Case Study of the Obama Campaign
  • Marketers Speak: Top Marketers talk about trends, issues and market dynamics and how email is evolving in their respective markets
  • Email as a Social Media Tool: This panel will look at real-life examples of how companies are integrating email into social networks, incorporating user-generated content into their emails and leveraging user data from social networks back into their email program – and explore what portends in the future (Bronto client Brian Whalley of OurStage will be a panelist)

BrontoFire at Email Evolution Conference

On Monday, a team of 4 Brontos will be flying to sunny San Diego, California for 3 1/2 days of insightful analysis of email marketing - the Email Evolution Conference to be specific.

According to the conference site, “…you’ll learn what’s considered the “best practices” of email, as well as “leading-edge” strategies and techniques to optimize your marketing efforts. You’ll hear experienced email marketers and industry leaders openly and honestly share their successes, challenges and outlook for the future. ”

At 4PM PST (tentatively), Chad White of the EEC and I will be filming a live version of BrontoFire. On Wednesday, CEO Joe Colopy will be moderating a panel titled, The Big Bang Theory: Sending, Reporting, and Analyzing Results. He’ll be joined by Bill McCloskey (CEO of Email Data Source) and Bronto client Casey Kohner (eCommerce Manager, Trek Bicycle).

Shop.org: We haven’t forgotten thee

If you remember back not too long ago, Bronto offered a $100 gift certificate to the most creative Vegas traveling Bronto picture.

Not only have we been overwhelmed with the number of pictures submitted, the Brontos in charge of picking the winning picture have truly enjoyed seeing our inflatable Bronto, in…uh…a lot of interesting locations around Vegas.

The winning picture appropriately titled “Bronto hits the slots” taken by the lovely ladies from Rapunzel’s Closet who allowed Bronto to hypothetically let down his/her hair and enjoy a fun game of slots.

If Bronto won anything that day at the slots, we certainly haven’t seen the cash. However, given all the long hours that Bronto dedicates to making the email marketing world a better place, play on Bronto, play on.
