It’s been an exciting 2017! Our incredible team members continue to earn recognition. Senior Commerce Marketing Analyst Greg Zakowicz is the latest Bronto in the spotlight, earning a 2017 MarCom Gold Award for his work on The Commerce Marketer Podcast Episode 1: “The Power of Mobile.”

The MarCom Awards recognize revolutionary work by creatives in the marketing and communications industries. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), the competition receives around 6,000 entries a year from countries around the world. Entries are judged based on creativity, quality and resourcefulness, and only the most noteworthy are selected as winners.

“I’m honored to be named a 2017 MarCom Award winner for The Commerce Marketer Podcast,” says Zakowicz. “The response to the podcast over the past year has been incredible, and we have even bigger plans for 2018.”

Starting the Conversation

The Commerce Marketer Podcast is our first-ever podcast, featuring strategies, insights and analysis from professionals across the retail industry. Since this is Bronto, we also have some fun as well (how many fish can YOU name in 15 seconds?).

The first episode was released in June and features Brian Beck, SVP of ecommerce and omnichannel strategy at Guidance. For the premiere episode’s focus, Zakowicz selected one of the most pressing issues facing commerce marketers today: how to harness the power of mobile in an increasingly on-the-go world.

The episode features actionable insights for commerce marketers around topics such as fighting desktop-only disorder, optimizing for mobile checkout and competing with Amazon.

Get Caught Up

Zakowicz has continued to deliver compelling, exciting conversations with retail thought leaders in each of the episodes to date (10 as of October 2017). You can find all current episodes on Apple Podcasts or Google Play. Some of the recent guests include:

  • Brett Robbins, head of business development, Custora, on driving loyalty through segmentation
  • Jeffrey Grannis, director of digital, Juice Beauty, on storytelling for millennials and non-millennials alike
  • Phillip Jackson, ecommerce evangelist, Something Digital, on site search and consumer experience

Now that he has a few episodes under his belt, Zakowicz is looking to make the award-winning Commerce Marketer Podcast even better in 2018. What does the future hold? “Look for a greater variety of guests, more actionable takeaways and a few other surprises. I’m excited to keep the conversation going about the topics that matter most to ecommerce marketers,” says Zakowicz.

Congratulations on your MarCom Award, Greg! We can’t wait for the next episode.
