Bronto Summit Blog Series: Marketing to Mobile Shoppers

Beth Perry, Content Marketing Editor

Bronto Summit 2017 is just days away! We know not everyone can make it to Vegas for the big event, so we thought we’d bring a bit of the experience (and our speakers’ expertise) to you.

With the popularity of mobile devices and the growing trend toward using them to shop and buy, we asked a few of our Bronto Summit speakers to share their thoughts on mobile marketing.

Today’s topic: With today’s ever-connected consumers, how do you attract and retain mobile shoppers?

Adam Wolff – Marketing Analyst, Woodwind & Brasswind

With your website, you have to think mobile-first and create a shopping experience that is simple for the mobile user. To make the experience enjoyable when switching from mobile to desktop and vice versa, offer the customer access to previously viewed items and allow for features like saving or sharing their shopping cart for use at a later time.

Barbara Karpf – President, DecoratorsBest

We attract mobile shoppers through our advertising campaigns and our presence in organic search. We approach their needs through constant adjustments to our mobile site, which is a hybrid responsive design. Having easy navigation and clear product detail pages on mobile is essential for shoppers on the run. If a site is easy to use, shoppers will return.

Jeffrey Grannis – Director of Digital, Juice Beauty

Mobile shoppers are a fun challenge. As marketers, it’s imperative to filter complex messaging to digestible sound bites, but with the amount of attention and time spent on mobile devices, it is crucial for any business to be mobile-first.

Scott Perry – Senior VP of Digital Marketing, Jerome’s Furniture

With so many busy mobile shoppers constantly on the move, it’s important to make your mobile experience as simple as possible. A responsive site is a must, and you must take the time to make sure your checkout system is truly optimized for mobile. We also use mobile advertising to attract shoppers. Get them while they’re out and about, when they’re already in the car and can easily stop by the store.
