Email Marketing: From Click to Conversion (Stone Edge User Conference - April 2009)

Are there really only 5 tips for more effective email marketing?

Of course not. There are probably hundreds of suggestions being tossed around about how to optimize your email marketing program. Subscribe to some blogs, follow email people on twitter, attend email summits, listen to NPR, or just frequent your favorite pubs and you’re bound to hear the phrase “email marketing best practices.” However, in the presentation (view in Slideshare) Bronto shared with the folks at the Stone Edge 2009 User Conference last week, we introduced 5+ thoughts on how to realize the full benefits of email marketing.

  1. From Name
  2. Subject Line
  3. Above the Fold
  4. Call to Action
  5. Testing

5+: Segmentation, Remarketing, F2F (SWYSN), Frequency

To spice thing up a bit, the presentation includes a Monty Python video, a Plinko graphic, examples from Chad White’s 2008 Oopsy Hall of Fame, and a BrontoFire segment.

Check out the Slideshare presentation and let us know what you think. Do you have more “tips” to add?
