Durham, NC - April 1, 2009 - Nearly 7 years ago, Bronto was founded by our fearless leaders Joe Colopy and Chaz Felix. The business has grown to nearly 50 employees and has been cash-flow positive since Day 1. The application has evolved into a robust solution that serves nearly 1,000 raving (in a good way) clients. Life is good. Or so it would seem.
In a drastic, knee-jerk, “let’s try this out” move, Joe and Chaz announced that Bronto would revert back to the look and feel of 2003.
When asked why such a bold move, Colopy replied, “This Web 2.0, Web 3.0 stuff is garbage. The internet is a fad. All I keep hearing about is social media, twitter, blogs, ajax, javascript. It’s time we go back to our roots.”
Felix echoed, “Yeah. Our strategic plan for April 1, 2009 is to go old school. The market is screaming for ‘back to the basics.’ One of the keys to success is listening to the market. We believe by reverting back to Bronto circa 2003 we can help turn around the financial crisis we are in.”
Carolyn Sparano, VP of Client Services, chimed in - “Our clients don’t really understand the Bronto logo, so we figured it made sense to revert to the one that looks like an elephant head. The client spoke, we listened. The client is always right!”
Long-time Bronto, DJ Waldow, was not available for comment.
Happy April Fools Day to all Bronto clients, future clients, past clients, fans, lurkers…

Wow! The old logo really does look like an elephant head.
I was always partial to this site:

That original logo on Eric’s reference is amazing. Truly some artistic talent there.
@Chad @Eric @”Buster” - Thanks for your comments. We love some old school Bronto.
