Wow. Great comments. Where to start.....?

@Kelly and @Khalid: Regarding "meta," it was tricky b/c I was posting something from Joe's blog and wanted to maintain the integrity of what he wrote. Therefore, I did not edit one single word from his post. However, this meant a Bronto Blog post talking about the Bronto Blog. Oh well. I meta'ed.

@Andrew: We are trying. As a company we really focus on transparency. I don't love that word b/c I think it gets overused, but we all believe in being who we are and open with the world - Email Marketers Club, Twitter (@bronto, @djwaldow, @ many many other Brontos). Thanks for recognizing!

@Khalid and @Tami: Measuring ROI on Social Media...the $1B question. It is one that we are definitely exploring now. There have been many articles, blog posts, tweets, etc on that very topic. In general, imho, Social Media - if done correctly - keeps your name/brand top of mind for consumers. But that will not stand on its own unless you can deliver. In other words, you have to listen, follow, reply to, and learn from your customers and the community. At the end of the day, from a business perspective, we want people to think about Bronto when they think (email) marketing. Not sure I answered your question at all, but....

Good job Bronto team! We are starting to do some of this, but struggling a bit. To echo Khalid how do you measure it? How much time do you spend on it?

Nice effort guys. Just followed you on Twitter. Investing in all of these social networks involves at a minimum time commitment. How do you measure or qualify the ROI from such activities? or do you?

DJ and Joe,

This is great and I love to see that Bronto has done what they have done. I have heard nothing but great things about you guys and this post reinforces what people say about you guys as a company.
