This week Bronto is busy exhibiting and participating in the 3rd Annual Marketing Sherpa Email Summit in sunny Miami, Florida.
Along with meeting some great email marketers, we’re busy learning new tips and tricks for email marketing.
DJ and I attended the “Basecamp Training: What Works in Email Copywriting” on Sunday and came away with some good tidbits on the art of writing good email copy in both the B2B and B2C space. Stefan Tornquist (Marketing Sherpa’s Research Director) stressed the importance of a good (consistent) From Name - one that is recognizable with your brand. He also quoted David Daniels of JupiterResearch when it comes to the frequency of consumers reporting spam - over “79% of people hit ‘Report as Spam’ when they don’t recognize the sender.”
Through several days of attending sessions and speaking with attendees, we’re happy to report that Bronto ranks in the top tier of email marketing thought leaders in this ever-changing industry. Of the top 5 case studies of 2007 as named by Marketing Sherpa reporter Chris Heine; 2 case studies featured Bronto clients: Trek Bikes and Durham Bulls.
Bronto can’t take all the credit though, our clients are improving their email best practices every day, and we’re happy to see their amazing results. Just take a look at a variety of email marketing success stories through Bronto.
Stay tuned as we continue to convey our learnings through the Bronto blog, and if you like what you hear please let us know and “Ask the Expert” with any topics or questions you’d like to know more about.

Hey all you Bronto folks- it was great to meet you!
Anna -
It was great to meet you as well. 2 of my favorite blog posts of yours (that I use with clients about once/week) are the following:
–Review: 10 Emails with Images Off - http://www.banane.com/workblog/?p=32
–10 Images Off- 2 Weeks Later - http://www.banane.com/workblog/?p=74
It always invigorates me up to hear clients’ reactions when I show them their OWN emails with images off.
Cheers.

Thanks DJ- I’m working on a new images-off review coming up. Kind of neat to see how the profiled retailers handle the issue as the webmail providers keep changing.
