Road Runner Feedback Loop

February 1st, 2007 by Bronto Software

Bronto set up a feedback loop with RoadRunner this week. This implementation goes along with our feedback loop relationships with AOL, Hotmail, MSN, Juno, and NetZero.

A feedback loop (or FBL) is an automated system that forwards any mail reported as spam originating from Bronto’s IP addresses back to us so that we can automatically unsubscribe the contact.

For example, when an AOL (or Hotmail, MSN, Juno, NetZero, or RoadRunner) recipient clicks the “Report Spam” button in the webmail interface for any message originating from Bronto, AOL automatically registers the complaint and forwards a notification to us. When we receive the complaint, we automatically unsubscribe the complaining contact from your account.

We LOVE feedback loops. They help ISPs minimize the number of unsolicited email
complaints they receive. More importantly for you, they help Bronto remain within the ISPs’ allowable complaint ratio and thus enable us to provide optimal message delivery. Best of all - it all happens auto-magically!

As feedback loops become more common and as more ISPs begin to offer them, rest assured that Bronto will happily and eagerly add them to our application.
